Returns Policy

This Returns & Refunds Policy applies to products purchased directly through JoshDG.com and explains the position where products displayed or promoted on JoshDG.com are purchased through third-party retailers or commerce partners.

This Policy should be read together with the Terms of Service and any other policies applicable to a particular order. Nothing in this Policy excludes, restricts or limits any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer law.

1. Scope of This Policy

JoshDG.com may publish articles and other editorial content, provide free or paid digital products, sell physical products directly, and display or link to products sold through third-party platforms.

The party with whom the customer completes the transaction is generally responsible for processing that transaction and administering the return or refund process relating to it. Where an order is completed directly through the JoshDG.com checkout, the applicable contract of sale is administered through JoshDG.com. Where an order is completed on a third-party platform, the transaction is subject to the terms, policies and procedures of that third party or the applicable seller.

2. Products Purchased Through Third Parties

Products Purchased Through Amazon

Certain products displayed on JoshDG.com, including books, may link to Amazon or an Amazon-operated marketplace for completion of the purchase.

Where the customer completes payment through Amazon, the order is processed through Amazon or the applicable seller on the Amazon platform. Any request relating to cancellation, return, replacement or refund must therefore be made through the options available for the relevant Amazon order and is subject to the applicable Amazon or seller terms.

JoshDG.com does not receive or control payments processed through Amazon and cannot directly issue a refund against an Amazon transaction.

Nothing in this section affects any statutory rights the customer may have against the trader responsible for the relevant transaction.

Products Purchased Through Fourthwall

Selected merchandise, artwork, prints, clothing and other products may be sold and fulfilled through Fourthwall as an external commerce and fulfilment provider.

Where the customer completes the order and payment through Fourthwall, the transaction, fulfilment, customer support, returns and refunds are administered through Fourthwall in accordance with the terms and policies applicable to that order.

JoshDG.com does not receive or control payments processed through Fourthwall and cannot directly issue a refund against a Fourthwall transaction.

Certain products offered through Fourthwall may be produced to order. The availability of a return, replacement or refund will depend on the product, the reason for the request, the applicable terms and the customer's statutory rights.

Nothing in this section affects any statutory rights the customer may have against the trader responsible for the relevant transaction.

Other Third-Party Sellers

JoshDG.com may in future link to other third-party retailers, marketplaces, fulfilment providers or commerce platforms. Where a purchase is completed through another seller or platform, the applicable order, payment, cancellation, return and refund process will be governed by that seller's terms and the law applicable to the transaction.

3. Physical Products Purchased Directly Through JoshDG.com

This section applies only where the customer completes the purchase and payment using the JoshDG.com checkout.

Cancellation Rights for Distance Sales

Where UK consumer cancellation rights apply to an eligible online purchase of physical goods, the customer may notify us of the decision to cancel within 14 days beginning on the day after the goods are received.

After notifying us of the cancellation, the customer must return the goods within a further 14 days.

To exercise a cancellation right, the customer must make a clear statement of the decision to cancel. The customer may contact orders@joshdg.com and provide the order number and sufficient information to identify the order.

The customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning goods following a cancellation unless JoshDG.com has agreed otherwise, the product is faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described, or applicable law requires otherwise.

Condition of Returned Goods

A customer may inspect goods to the extent reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

Where handling goes beyond what would reasonably be permitted when examining the goods in a shop and results in a reduction in value, JoshDG.com may make a lawful deduction from the refund to reflect that reduction in value.

Goods should be returned using the return instructions supplied by JoshDG.com. Customers should not send products to an address found elsewhere or directly to a manufacturer, supplier or fulfilment provider unless specifically instructed to do so.

Refund Following Cancellation

Where a valid cancellation applies, JoshDG.com will reimburse payments that are required to be reimbursed by law, including the cost of standard outbound delivery where applicable.

Where the customer selected a more expensive delivery method than the least expensive standard delivery method offered, any additional delivery cost is not required to be reimbursed.

A refund may be withheld until the returned goods have been received or the customer has supplied evidence of having sent the goods back, whichever occurs first, where permitted by law.

Any refund due following cancellation will be made within the period required by applicable law and normally to the same payment method used for the original transaction unless otherwise agreed.

4. Exceptions to Cancellation Rights

The statutory right to cancel a distance contract does not apply in every circumstance.

Made-to-Order and Personalised Products

A cancellation right may not apply to goods that are made to the customer's specifications or are clearly personalised.

The fact that a product is produced only after an order is placed does not by itself remove statutory cancellation rights. The exception applies where the legal requirements for goods made to the customer's specifications or clearly personalised are met.

Where an item falls within this exception, JoshDG.com may decline a cancellation or return requested solely because the customer no longer wants the product.

This exception does not remove statutory remedies where goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect, not as described or otherwise fail to conform to the contract.

Other Exceptions

Other statutory exceptions to cancellation rights may apply depending on the nature of a product or service. Where an exception applies, it will be applied only to the extent permitted by law.

5. Digital Products & Downloads

JoshDG.com may provide digital content including PDFs, worksheets, guides, downloadable resources and other digital products.

Free Digital Products

Free digital products are supplied without a purchase price and therefore have no monetary amount to refund. Where a customer experiences an access or delivery problem with a free digital product, enquiries may be sent to us@joshdg.com.

Paid Digital Products

Paid digital content may be supplied for immediate access or download after payment.

Where digital content is to be supplied during the statutory cancellation period, JoshDG.com may require the customer to give express consent for supply to begin immediately and to acknowledge that the statutory right to cancel will be lost once supply begins, where required by law.

Where the required consent and acknowledgement have been properly obtained and supply of the digital content has begun, the customer may lose the statutory right to cancel that digital-content contract.

Where those legal requirements have not been satisfied, any applicable cancellation rights remain unaffected.

Faulty Digital Content

Digital content supplied for payment must comply with applicable consumer law. Where paid digital content is faulty, does not match its description or otherwise fails to conform to the contract, the customer may have statutory remedies.

Depending on the circumstances, those remedies may include repair or replacement and, where the applicable legal requirements are met, a price reduction or refund.

A customer reporting a problem with paid digital content should contact orders@joshdg.com with the order number, the name of the digital product and a description of the issue.

Digital products do not require a physical return.

6. Faulty, Damaged, Incorrect or Misdescribed Physical Goods

Nothing in this Policy limits the customer's statutory rights in relation to goods that are faulty, damaged, incorrect, not as described, not of satisfactory quality or otherwise fail to conform to the contract.

Products Purchased Directly Through JoshDG.com

Where a physical product purchased directly through JoshDG.com has a qualifying fault or conformity issue, the customer should contact orders@joshdg.com and provide the order number, a description of the issue and, where reasonably necessary, photographs showing the problem.

The remedy available will depend on the circumstances and applicable consumer law. This may include rejection and refund, repair, replacement or another remedy where legally required.

Where the short-term statutory right to reject applies, eligible faulty goods may be rejected within the applicable 30-day period. Rights may continue after that period, including rights relating to repair, replacement, price reduction or final rejection where the relevant legal conditions are satisfied.

JoshDG.com will bear return costs where required by law for goods that do not conform to the contract.

Products Purchased Through Amazon

Where the relevant transaction was completed through Amazon, the customer must use the return, replacement, refund or customer-support options associated with the Amazon order. The responsible Amazon seller or platform will administer the applicable remedy.

Products Purchased Through Fourthwall

Where the relevant transaction was completed through Fourthwall, the customer must report the issue through the support or order-management process supplied with that order. Fourthwall will administer the available resolution in accordance with the applicable terms and statutory obligations.

7. Exchanges

Products Purchased Directly Through JoshDG.com

JoshDG.com does not operate a general exchange service for products purchased directly through JoshDG.com.

This does not affect statutory rights where an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect, not as described or otherwise fails to conform to the contract. Where a statutory remedy applies, it will be handled in accordance with applicable law and this Policy.

Products Purchased Through Third Parties

Any exchange, replacement or alternative-product option for an order completed through Amazon, Fourthwall or another third party is governed and administered by the relevant platform or seller.

8. Refund Processing

Direct JoshDG.com Purchases

Where a refund is due for a purchase completed directly through JoshDG.com, it will normally be made to the original payment method unless another method is expressly agreed.

Once a refund has been issued, the time taken for funds to appear may depend on the customer's bank, card issuer or payment provider.

A refund will be processed within the period required by applicable law.

Third-Party Purchases

Refunds relating to payments processed through Amazon, Fourthwall or another third-party seller or platform must be issued by the party responsible for that transaction. JoshDG.com cannot issue a refund against funds it did not process.

9. Return Shipping

Where a customer exercises an applicable cancellation right for non-faulty goods purchased directly through JoshDG.com, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods unless stated otherwise before purchase or required otherwise by law.

Where goods purchased directly through JoshDG.com are faulty, damaged, incorrect, misdescribed or otherwise non-conforming, return costs will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer law.

The customer remains responsible for taking reasonable care when packaging returned goods and should retain appropriate evidence of return.

10. Refused, Unclaimed and Unauthorised Returns

Refusing delivery, failing to collect an order or sending an item to an unauthorised address does not automatically constitute a valid cancellation or return.

Customers wishing to cancel or return an eligible direct JoshDG.com purchase should follow the process set out in this Policy so that the return can be identified and handled correctly.

JoshDG.com is not responsible for goods sent to an incorrect or unauthorised return address except where responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Promotions, Discounts and Bundled Products

Where a refund is due for an item purchased as part of a promotion, discount, bundle or multi-buy offer, the refund may be calculated by reference to the amount actually paid for the returned item and the effect of the return on the applicable promotion, to the extent permitted by law.

Nothing in this section permits JoshDG.com to reduce a refund in a manner inconsistent with the customer's statutory rights.

12. Gifts

Where a product was purchased as a gift, any monetary refund will normally be returned to the original payment method used by the purchaser unless otherwise required by law or expressly agreed.

13. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Customers are encouraged to contact orders@joshdg.com regarding a direct JoshDG.com transaction before initiating a payment dispute so that the issue can be reviewed.

Nothing in this section limits any legal right a customer may have to contact a card issuer, bank or payment provider.

For transactions completed through a third-party platform, payment disputes should be handled through the process applicable to that transaction.

14. Order Identification and Third-Party Transactions

The presence of a product on JoshDG.com does not necessarily mean that JoshDG.com is the seller or payment processor for that product.

The checkout page, order confirmation and payment record will normally identify the party through whom the transaction was completed.

If a customer found a product through JoshDG.com but is unsure which provider handled the transaction, the customer may contact us@joshdg.com with the available order information. JoshDG.com may assist in identifying the relevant provider but cannot assume contractual responsibilities belonging to a separate seller.

15. Statutory Rights

This Policy is intended to operate consistently with applicable UK consumer law, including rights relating to distance contracts, goods and digital content.

No provision of this Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or limit any statutory right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or limited.

If any provision of this Policy conflicts with a mandatory consumer right, the mandatory legal requirement will prevail to the extent of the conflict.

16. Contact

For returns, refunds and order-related enquiries concerning purchases completed directly through JoshDG.com:

orders@joshdg.com

For general enquiries or help identifying the provider responsible for an order:

us@joshdg.com

Customers contacting us about an order should provide sufficient information to identify the transaction. This may include the order number, email address used for the purchase and a brief description of the issue.

17. Changes to This Policy

JoshDG.com may update this Returns & Refunds Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the website, products, fulfilment arrangements, third-party services or applicable law.

The version of the Policy applicable to a transaction will be considered in light of the terms and information provided at the time the relevant contract was formed and any mandatory legal requirements.
